Thanksgiving point dinosaur museum

We had a great time at Thanksgiving Point's dinosaur museum on the first Tuesday of August. Chris and Garett both invited a friend so it was very exciting and makes me greatful to only have 3 boys and not 5 lol,

summer camping trip

On July 24 we were driving around wondering what to do for the holiday and some how it got brought up that we should go camping, so 2 hours later we were packed and camping it was a lot of fun, we set up camp and it started to rain so we waited it out in the tent and then it cleared up and was a wonderful evening. We went hiking in the morning and we only lasted a little ways until the 2 youngest were complaining of walking and Chelsea gets heavy pretty fast. I hope the pictures tell more of our adventure than my blogging since I am a terrible writer.

Chelseas Birthday

Chelsea turned 4 on August 2, we had a great time celebrating. We had a party on Aug. 1 we set up some waterslides in the backyard and had a bbq. We had a good turn out with family and friends and it was a great day, Here are some pictures to show a little of the details.

Chris' School Adventure

Christopher had a reading competition at school for read across america week. In one week the kids were suppose to read as much as they can and they all competed amongst other members of their class to see who could read the most. It did not suprise me when Christopher read a total of 435 minutes in one week, thus winning his class competition. The deal was whoever was the winner in each class had the opportunity to throw a pie in the teacher's face, let me tell ya how proud I am of my good little reader but also it looks like he has great aim and a good arm. Christopher's teacher was the one with the messiest face of all the teachers, way to go Chris

Catch up

I am a slacker.. I know, I promised my sister Stefanie that I would do a good job with this blogging thing, so she was sorta in the loop even living in Rhode Island so here is a blog about what the fam has been up to.

Justin is still going to school full time, and working full time, he is doing well in school and is setting the "curve" in all his classes, so he is a straight A student right now, I am so proud of him and his dedication. He is enjoying his job with Calaway Electric for the most part, we are finally getting paychecks on time and they don't have to put them on hold any more, which has been nice. Justin is still playing basketball 3 times a week and he takes me on a date every weekend.

I have been really busy with my calling as the young women's president and I have been pretty busy feeling like a single mom sometimes, with Justin being gone so much during the week. Justin took me to monster jam for our valentines date, it was a lot of fun, I am a lucky girl to be able to spend time with my sweetie without the kids once a week. We headed up to the Draper Temple open house with the family last weekend as well, and the kids were very reverant I was very proud of them. I am still working at Raintree and am enjoying it. I attended a BYU housing fair 2 days last week it was a great time for me to earn money and have fun at the same time.

Chris is doing great in school, he is still a little rascal at home liking to be a pain at times...he is such a cute boy who enjoys reading. In the past 2 weeks he has finished 5 chapter books and he is checking 2 more out from the library today. He is motivated and a great big brother!

Garett is also doing great in school and is learning to read quite well. He fights about doing his homework, but when he is done, he always says that wasn't too bad.. He is funny. Garett is always busy going from one friends house to another he is wanting to sign up for soccer, so we will see what happens.

Chelsea is finally potty trained, 4 weeks ago she wanted to go buy panties, and from then on it has been wonderful with only a few accidents. She is starting to become a girl for sure with all the attitude that comes with it, when she wants something she wants it NOW or she will just keep yelling for it. I try to teach her that is not how it works, so I try to not let her get away with it.

Carter as always is a little sweetheart. He is not interested in talking at all so everything he wants he point to and says eeee, or some other sound, I say to him, what do you want, and try to make him say it but really he is not interested in talking at all. I am hoping he will try soon, He loves to eat, play, and drink water, he is always making people happy, if one of his siblings is sad he goes and sits next to them and puts his arm around them and kisses or gives them rocks with his hand, he sits there until he gets them to smile. He is a sweetheart and loves going to nursery. He is growing up so fast!
