Chris singing at mall

I will try to add this video of Chris singing at the mall, we will see if it works. I hope all of you enjoyed your Christmas as much as we did.

Merry Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we as a family headed over to an assisted living center where Joyce, my mother in law works. We started out singing some songs and reading stories and sharing more songs, but my favorite part was visiting with them after. A lot of the family left so it was just Justin and I and the kids left and we had a great time, it sure taught our small children about service and the true meaning. I have to tell one story, there was a little lady named Annie and she laughed at everything, she had a hard time getting out of her chair and she would keep rocking back and forth laughing and saying well this time I am afraid I am stuck, it was cute, anyway she finally got up and asked Chelsea what she wanted for Christmas and she told her a doll, and Annie said me too, I want one with eyes that open and close, not the painted on kind and Chelsea just sat and listened and Annie started laughing again and said, I wouldn't mind just the head it doesnt even need a body, Just the eyes that open and close, it was hilarious, okay maybe you just had to be there.

Christmas morning was a lot of fun. Garett came into our bedroom at 1:30 am informing us that Santa had come, I told him that he had to wait until 7:00 to see what santa had brought so he had better go back to bed, from then on Chris and Chelsea were also in our room so we made beds on my bedroom floor and every 15 minutes until 4, the kids would ask is it time yet..it was exciting... We started opening presents at 7 and enjoyed yummy breakfast bagels made by my sweet husband, and then at about noon we headed to Grandma Ruch's home and then to the Whipple's house for dinner, it was yummy ham and potatoes, a tradition. We made it home by 8 and stayed up playing with new toys til about 11 then we finally got to sleep.

Carter opening a present, it ended up being a yellow and green track suit.

Chelsea after she opened her remote control pony.

Garett with his scooter, he was sad there was too much snow to ride it.

Christopher with his scooter as well.

Justin trying to figure out the hotwheel set the boys got.

Garett showing off his new track suit he got, and hulk slippers.

Christopher playing with his new bank robot in his new track suit, let me tell you this robot has no manners everytime you put money in, it farts, and says wow you better open up a window, I guess it would of been good if Santa new that SBD 3000 the name of the robot stood for silent but deadly..lol..

Justin putting together some toys, with Garett waiting for him to play with the lincoln logs.

Carter showing off his new vacuum he got from Santa.

The boys trying to figure out how to put together the hotwheels set, And Chelsea playing with it. Carter was such a cutie trying to help, he is getting so dang big way too fast.

Naughty? or Nice?

We went to the mall the other day and saw Santa. All of the kids loved him, Carter sat in amazement and Chelsea did not want to leave. Garett was a little hesitant but he came around. Chris and Garett both asked for a nintendo DS and Chelsea asked for a cinderella doll, and Santa guessed Carter would want cars and balls, boy is he good. As you can tell Chelsea dressed herself for the day. She is getting pretty creative. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Halloween

For halloween this year we started the morning off with parade with Garett's kindergarten class, then we went back to school in the afternoon to see Christopher walk in a parade. At 3:30 we went with the Ruch family to Janalynn and Jacob's work (Shelf Reliance) for a halloween trick or treat in the office. We then went over to doug smith car dealership for trunk or treat..that was a blast. We saw mickey mouse and the kids loved it. After that we made our way over to Justin's grandparents house in American Fork. They were glad to see the kids. We then made our way over to Justin's parents ward to enjoy some soup and chili and a trunk or treat. The kids had a great time. When we finished with that it was about 7 pm and we headed over to the Whipple house to trick or treat and show off the kids costumes. Chris and Garett talked grandpa into taking them trick or treating around the block. The kids got so much candy that I hope it will last them for a little while. Justin and I enjoyed "inspecting" the candy when we got home.

Fall Fun

We took our kids to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving point for fall break this year. They were a little frightened of the creature so we did not do that this visit. We tried 2 weeks ago when we went and they cried throughout the whole thing. They did pedal cars and went down the mountain (slide) they also enjoyed a cow train ride. Carter loved sitting on all the hay bales he could find.

Sunday Dinner in celebration of Dad turning 55

We got together for dad's birthday on Sunday night. We enjoyed a wonderful 11 pound roast..yes it was huge. We had fresh tomatoes from the garden and wonderful bottled beans from the garden. We enjoyed mom's famous gravy with the mashed potatoes. We even had homemade rolls it was fantastic. I am just trying to make you, the reader very hungry. After dinner we enjoyed a great pumpkin cake and ice cream. Dad opened some presents he received a dvd, shirts, polos, books, cinnamon bears etc... He had a great early birthday party. We enjoyed everyones company that was able to make it. Everyone was there except for the Martin family who resides in Rhode Island now...we miss you guys. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

We also enjoyed playing a game of wizard after dinner and after the crown died down a little. Chris and Blaine battled in guitar hero, I don't want to brag or anything but my 6 year old can beat anyone. He practices on expert and really he only plays about 20 minutes a day if that. He really enjoys showing off his mad guitar hero skills. I would like to thank my wonderful mother for sharing these pictures with me so I can write about dad's birthday. I am sad she is not in any of these pictures, we will have to change that in the future.

Cast off- FINALLY

So Christopher finally got his cast off on Oct.2. He was so nervous about the so called saw that they use that he wanted to keep it on forever. I finally talked him into it. I took some pictures and thought I would share. The last picture is Christopher showing how weak his arm feels. Chris decided to keep his cast, and it is very stinky I will throw it out when he is not looking. He took it to school today and he asked his class if they wanted to smell it, it was funny..

Life at the Ruch's

Well it has been lots of fun for us the past couple of weeks. Justin has found a new job which he will start on Monday..He is excited and I hope he enjoys it. I just want him to be happy.. A few weeks ago Christopher was climbing on his bunk bed and fell and broke his wrist. He will get his cast off in six days he can't wait. He is afraid his arm will be green because he has gotten it a little wet when he baths. Justin could not let him be the only on in a cast so one week ago while playing flag football Justin broke his ring finger on his left hand. He had to get his wedding ring cut off, and he was told he needed surgery. He now has pins in his finger trying to hold it all together, I will try to get pictures uploaded in the morning so you can see the exciting picture of pins coming out of a finger... Things are still going good with everyone else in the family. Sorry it is so long but I am new at this whole blogging world..Have a wonderful day
